PMRR | Paria X Magic Rock Racing
2019 has been a big year for Paria in terms of working with like minded cyclists and beyond.
Fresh from working with the guys at Paria RT in London, we have linked up with Magic Rock Brewery to set up a Northern based race contingent bringing together two of our passions; beers and bikes.
Whilst the crew have been planning the race team for a while, we officially launched at the Brownlee circuit in Leeds on Friday 10th May.
A few words below to talk through what we are all about...
Paria Magic Rock Racing, a Yorkshire based, multi-discipline cycling race team born from a passion for road cycling, bringing together twelve talented athletes from around the UK.
This group of like-minded individuals with both a love of craft beer and a passion for competitive cycling are looking to push the boundaries of road racing, inspire a generation of future cyclists and win some races (obviously!). The riders are already a force to be reckoned with and serious contenders; team member Jack Davey took first place at a recent TCDG Race League Round 3 - 4thCategoryrace at Tameside Cycle Circuit and collectively the team are growing in strength and ability with every race, placinghighly in all their events to date.
Individually they’ve achieved great results, but by working together as a team they’ll be sure to go from strength to strength. Magic Rock are proud to be sponsoring them alongside cult cycle brand Paria. You certainly won’t miss them as they whizz by: we’ve put a Magic spin on things by using eye-catching designs synonymous with the brewery for their kit, designed by Magic Rock Creative Director, Richard Norgate.
On sponsoring the team, Sam Morgan from Pariastates:
“When conversations with Magic Rock began about collaborating on the kit and cycling in general - it was clear there was a shared passion and outlook. We began to think about how we could take this further, and with the common links between the brewery and the cycling community, the seeds were sewn for PMRR.
If you are jointly supported by a brewery, then it is a prerequisite you need to enjoy a beer. Whilst we wanted strong riders, we want a team which can enjoy everything a brand like Magic Rock stands for - and that includes craft beer.
With Rich Norgate on the design front, we were never going to have anything but a stand out kit, and he didn’t fail to deliver. Paria kit ensures you stand out on two wheels for the right reason - and with the PMRR design - we have this in spades.”
