Defect – Fashion Forward Cycling

Take a closer look at our Defect kit drop, our 2017 kit drop features monochromotic influences and fashion forward aesthetics to deliver an impactful piece of cycling kit design across a range of cycling jerseys and cycling shorts for men, and cycling jerseys and cycling shorts for women.

Our kit range for 2017 continues our focus on pushing the boundaries of technical cycling clothing, hedging them towards street fashion but maintaining our cycling roots and cycling heritage. Our commitment is to bring cutting edge design principles to premium quality cycling clothing; your kit can look good, perform to a high standard whilst being comfortable and well fitted.

Our defect range was inspired combining the blurred lines of riders as they fly by, coupled with the constant motion TV test screens of the 80’s, and the associated fault screens. The full Defect kit is slightly (and we mean slightly) paired back, offering a pair of cycling bib shorts which can be worn with other jerseys (more bang of you buck in this cycling wardrobe…) Black seems to be the mainstay of a cyclists wardrobe, so we wanted kit that could compliment your existing cycling gear, whilst offering something fresh into your drawers. We have mixed the black and white palette up a bit to achieve this, not deviated from this Pantone portfolio but instead focused on the graphics and delivery.

At PARIA, we strive to work with artists and designers who are not necessarily native to the cycling design world, but understand the PARIA vibe. We aim to take influences from outside the standard sphere of cycling kit design, and give them a spin on our rang of fashion forward cycling jerseys, cycling bib shorts and cycling accessories. This ensures you stand out on the bike for all the right reasons, and should feel as comfortable on your velo as you do off.
